11. A Fish Out Of Water

One of the locations I have been shooting over the past couple of weeks is a spawning ground for Salmon. This is about as far up as they can can go as there is a 90 ft waterfall only a few hundred meters upstream. That particular one seemed to have got caught in a shallow pool of water then drowned. I was mostly covered by some fallen leaves. I was really amazed at the size of the teeth they have though.
In general, it's really an amazing life they live. This is almost a 7km swim upriver with several small waterfalls to overcome before getting to this point, about 90m change in elevation from what I can see.
