31. Niagara Sunset
This photograph was shot last night while on a bike ride through the Niagara Parks. The new Niagara Skywheel on Clifton Hill is visible just above the horizion.

28. Thunderheads
This is the remnant of a storm we had last weekend. I followed the storm out of the city, but with the summer tourism traffic, I missed the lightning I was hoping to catch.

25. A Nice Walk
This is the road leading in to a cemetary in Sherktson. We drove in early Sunday morning and I liked the rural feel of it. Wood and wire fence on one side, over grown farmers field on the other, over hanging trees. I may photograph it again again one day, only looking up into the cemetary instead of from the cemetary looking out.

21. Saddleback
I shot this saddleback last weekend. Like the Monarch, it was done later in the morning. Unlike the Monarch however, it flew to me, I did not have to chase this one.
I processed this image in the new Adobe Lightroom beta. The software looks nice, but I will need to do some more testing with it to see how the image quality is. It is a little slow though. Beta sofware...

17. Crab Spider and Fly
This shot of a crab spider and fly was taken a few weeks ago. I originally set up to shoot the bird-footed cingfoil (trefoil?) and after my first shot notice a blur in the photo. Zooming in to identify the blur I noticed the crab spider. I photographed the pair for a little while after that.

15. Monarch
Monarch Butterfly. Stalked.
Our usual method of shooting these insects involves finding them in the morning when they are still fairly dormant from the overnight cold. This monarch was shot a little later in the morning and I had to stalk it, moving slowly. It was quite co-operative though and allowed me to get closer than I needed to be.

14. Orange Veins
This is a close up of a 12 Spotter Skimmer dragonfly. Scott originally pointed out the orange colour in the larger veins in the wings.
I am still fairly new at photographing these insects so I rely a lot on John and Scott for names and searching the Internet when I can. I identified this based on what I found at http://www.dragonflies.org

12. Abandoned Pump
This abandoned gas station appears that it was abandoned in a hurry. Looking in the windows of the adjoining variety store, there appears to be magazines on the rack, gum in boxes and old 1.5 liter bottles of coke and pepsi in the refrigerator.

Fourth of July fireworks over Niagara Falls. I was in the middle of a crowd so my vantage point was not the best it could be. I'll shoot them again another time from a different location.

05. Honeymoon Suite
Leanne and I went to see Honeymoon Suite perform the other night at the friendship festival. Honeymoon Suite comes from the city I live in, Niagara Falls. I saw them for the first time when I was 12 or so. This was Leanne's first time seeing them. As usual for most outdoor shows like this that we go to, Photographer Chris was Leanne's date instead of Fiancé Chris and as such, I have a few photo's to share from the night.
This is a photo of Johnny Dee and Derry Grehan, both original members of the band.
