There is a boardwalk over Lake Gibson in Thorold that I first saw only last weekend. Last night Dave and I took a trip out to the park to check it out.

A lady walks her dog on the beach on an early Sunday morning. The energetic dog ran back and forth in and out of the water, chasing a ball, digging in the dirt until he was half in the hole, and sitting, obeying his master.

20. Eastern Tailed Blue
This is another Eastern Tailed Blue. These are very small butterflies, maybe the size of my thumbnail. They move their wings up and down a little and while they do, the tails resemble antenna so that if a predator takes a bite, the only get the wing, not the head.

06. Black Swallowtail
Found this guy in my garden after a rain storm the other night. Looked like he was feasting on my parsley. I believe it is (or will be) a black swallowtail butterfly. After taking some photos of him, I let him go.
