Sunset on Pog

This summer Leanne and I went camping in Algonquin Park. My family took me there many times when I was young and have always enjoyed it so I wanted to share that with Leanne. We had some rain but overall decent weather. Did some hiking, checked out the art gallery and the park museum and store. Leanne picked up badges for each of the hikes we did for her camp blanket. Each night we would walk down to the beach and watch the sunset (well, she’d watch, I’d shoot). I was disappointed in the sunset but I can’t control the weather! This one was nice in that I got the group of ducks in there.

Stormy Sunset

This is a panorma of the sunset as a storm approached from the south.  It is a multiple photo panorama. To view a larger version, either click here or on the photo above.

Tee Off

I was golfing with a friend of mine earlier this week.  Last time we were out, she told me I should bring my camera next time… to me that is an open invitation to shoot someone.  She wasn’t happy but I did get some good photos anyway.

This was on the 16th hole at a local golf course.  The sun was beginning to set and we were teeing off into the sun.  I thought it was a perfect location for a silhouette.  Turned out it was also a perfect location for me to lose another ball!

Sunset at Oliphant

We shot most of our sunsets sunsets at Oliphant, not far from where we were staying. Some were very nice, others a little more plain. This one was one of the more dramatic sunsets of our recent trip. I like the S-Curve leading out to the lake.

Watching The Sunset

I shot this group of three people on the end of the peer across from the cottage I was staying at on my recent trip to the Bruce Peninsula.  There was a thunderstorm approaching from the south and the rest of the sky was lit up in this amazing wash of red.  I thought the placement of the people against the dramatic sky would yield a nice photograph.   We did not get to shoot too much longer as the rain came and we hurried into the cottage.
