This is another photograph from Fireman’s Park I shot this past Sunday. I shot (and processed) this using the Orton Effect, which is an effect where you sandwich two images together, one in focus, one out of focus. There are a number of ways to do this, though I used the more traditional method held over from the film days for this shot.
For more information about the Orton Effect, watch my Digital Photography Tip of the Week as next week’s tip will be on the Orton Effect.

Also extremely easy to do with Photoshop, or any other image-adjustment software–Although the effect may be listed under another title

Thank you for you comment. The effect is easy to do in image editing software. And you can read one such way in my tip at http://potd.chrisempey.com/tips/archives/2006/10/the_orton_effec.php

Thank you Harry. The effect doesn’t work with all photos, but with some it does work very well.
