Port Dalhousie, just outside of St. Catharines, Ontario, is a popular summer spot for tourists and locals alike. The marina, just off to the right of what you see in this shot, is home to many sailboats. There is a large concrete pier that juts out into Lake Ontario where you can see many people walking along, some fishing and on a clear night see Toronto across the lake. There is a beach that plays host to several volleyball tournaments throughout the summer, and the original carousel can still provide a few minutes enjoyment for the young and young at heart for only a nickel. The area has become a popular summer nightspot with people driving in from Niagara Falls, Welland and surrounding areas. Lakeside Park was immortalized in the early 70’s by the Canadian Rock trio, Rush
