This is another shot taken from the same wetland as the previous two days’ photos. Mud Lake is a man made conservation area. Used to drain the Wainfleet wetlands to make the are inhabitable, it features a lake, wooded areas, trails and is a great place for bird watching.

While there on Sunday, Dave and I passed by the shore and startled a Great Blue Heron that had been in the reeds. It flew off with a large fish in it’s mouth. To fast for us to grab our camera’s but enough for us to enjoy it’s flight.

This is also the location I shot my first Damselfly.
